Villa Maria Single Vineyard Seddon Pinot Gris

They’re New Zealand’s most awarded and trusted winery so you can rest assure anything from Villa’s “Single Vineyard” range is pretty slick stuff.

Their Villa Maria Single Vineyard Seddon Pinot Gris is a wine that regularly throws its hat in the ring for one of the top Pinot Gris labels you’ll find anywhere in NZ. A richer and more textural style Pinot Gris with a dry finish – it’s a class act and definitely the style we prefer when we go Gris.

This latest 2020 vintage certainly got top wine writer Michael Cooper pretty excited, calling it “One of the country’s top Pinot Gris.”

Coops went on to say “Currently delicious, the 2020 vintage (5*) is highly fragrant, weighty and rich, with notably concentrated, stone-fruit flavours, a slightly oily texture and a dryish (9 grams/litre of residual sugar), well-rounded finish”

And to summarise how did he describe this wine? “This wine is a Classic.”
