Ok, so we know that Villa Maria are one of the best producers in NZ and that they win a hell of a lot of medals (in fact they’re NZ’s most awarded winery) but when even their entry level, everyday quaffing Villa Maria Private Bin Pinot Gris label is getting in on the act you know they’ve got the golden touch!

Using fruit from a variety of East Coast vineyards to blend this Gris – we’re talking fruit from Hawke’s Bay, Gisborne, Waipara and a splash of Marlborough in there too.

This is classic Kiwi Pinot Gris with stone fruit flavours, like peaches and pears, with a touch of spice and a dryish finish. Get into it with white meat dishes like pork, chicken or how about spicy Asian cuisine?
