Made by Pirramimma (all together now pirra-mim-ma!) this full bodied Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from a winery that can boast some of McLaren Vale’s oldest vines. Their Stocks Hill vineyard where (surprise, surprise) they source the fruit for this label was planted over 50 years ago and overlooks the winery and estate.
Don’t settle for anything middle of the road – reach for the stars! And the moon. In fact “Pirramimma” is an aboriginal phrase for “the moon and the stars” – reach for a bottle of this and you’ll be over the moon.
It’s full of classic Cabernet flavours – blackcurrants, dark berries and plums with a touch of spice. With several years under its belt it’s drinking well now but it’s early days yet for this wine, chuck some in the cellar for the next decade or more!
