"A full-bodied and full-blooded red that needs time and promises to reward cellaring"
Taylors St Andrews Shiraz
2018, Clare Valley Australia
One of the Clare Valley's most iconic Shiraz labels
Aged 18 months in oak, cellaring potential of 2038+
92/100 (Huon Hooke, The Real Review) - "A full-bodied and full-blooded red that needs time and promises to reward cellaring"
The St Andrews vineyard in Clare Valley goes back 125 years when two Scottish immigrants purchased the 323 acre farming property and turn it into vineyards and orchards, naming it after the patron saint of their homeland. In 1995 Taylors Estate bought the historic site and four years later they’d produced their first wines from this awesome site.
The highest quality fruit, aged 18 months in oak, this is one of the Clare Valley’s most iconic Shiraz labels and not one for the faint hearted. It’s a big, full bodied, powerful style with big tannins and sweet-fruit – like we say, a whopper!
Described in by The Real Review’s Huon Hooke as “A full-bodied and full-blooded red that needs time and promises to reward cellaring”.
A special wine that will comfortably cellar into 2038 and beyond!
