We call him Mr Misty Cove but his real name’s Andrew. The Misty Cove label is the hard graft of southern man Andrew and his small team who cover every base in their boutique wine business. From the wine making and vineyard work, to sales and marketing. Andrew’s not interested in bourgeois BS when it comes to wine making. “Good wine for good times” as he puts it.
In fact they often prefer to let the awards do the talking and this Misty Cove Pinot Gris has won a fair few gongs over the years. This latest ’23 release has a 5 Star and 93/100 review from local critic Sam Kim, as well an 89/100 and Top Value Award by Master of Wine Bob Campbell for The Real Review.
This is a Marlborough Pinot Gris made in a typical off-dry style with citrus and pear fruit flavours with a dry finish. An easy going style that’s packing a heap of deliciousness.
