Hãhã – it’s no laughing matter, just seriously great quality, bang for your buck wines from Marlborough and Hawke’s Bay. Hãhã actually means to catch your breath in Te Reo Maori – but it’s the sheer value that’ll leave you gasping to be honest.

The Hãhã Wine Company came about over a good old Kiwi family get together. Three families, already exporting apples, meat and seafood, were chatting over a glass of wine discussing what business venture was next. The answer was right there in front of them – vino!

A fourth family joined the clan and in 2011 Hãhã launched with a bang…and a pop…and the occasional fizz.

This is their Haha Pinot Gris and they’ve used quality fruit from the sunny Hawke’s Bay region, perfect for producing the classic off-dry style NZ Pinot Gris. Mouth filling, lush stone pear and peach flavours with a touch of spice and a dryish finish. Yum. Also perfect to pair with Asian cuisine.
