Deutz Limited Edition Prestige Cuvee

Started by a couple of German immigrants (messrs Deutz & Geldermann) to France in 1838. Some 150 years later they shook hands and put pen to paper with Montana wines here in NZ to produce Champagne-like quality bubbles in Marlborough.

To this day Deutz is the only NZ Methode Traditionelle producer that lends its name from a French Champagne house, it’s the quintessential premium Kiwi bubbles that speaks with a slight French accent.

This is top of the range in the Deutz line up and a label that has consistently got massive praise over the years. They’ve gone to town in making it look and sound as fancy as possible with sexy, sleek charcoal grey packaging and slapping the words “Limited Edition” and “Prestige” on the label. Just wait ’til you try the wine though – this is classy stuff alright!

Selected parcels of the best grapes from their best Wairau Valley vineyards are given extended lees aging. Lees who? It’s a technique winemakers use to add richness, flavour and aroma. Produced under license from the Deutz Champagne house in France – this is a Champagne look-a-like at half the price of entry level Champagne!
