Single vineyard wines, hand crafted in small batches and all bottles individually numbered. This is the 2020 vintage Malbec using fruit from their Gimblett Gravels vineyard.
This must be up there with the best examples of an NZ Malbec reckon. Full bodied and loaded to the gunnels with plush, rich, dark berry fruit flavours and spice.
Scoring a whopper 96/100 with Master of Wine Bob Campbell who said “Intense, inky, juicy malbec with dark-fleshed plum, dried fruits and spices, chocolate-mocha and liquorice. Big, bold blockbuster of a wine with generous proportions. Has underlying energy, which makes it very drinkable and will probably help it to age well in bottle.”
Good to go now but crafted with the long term in mind too – cellar up to 15 years from vintage.
