Misty Cove Landmark Series Sauvignon Blanc

We call him Mr Misty Cove but his real name’s Andrew. The Misty Cove label is the hard graft of southern man Andrew and his whanau who cover every base in their boutique wine business. From the wine making and vineyard work, to sales and marketing. A true 100% family owned and operated Kiwi wine business if we ever saw one!

Andrew’s not interested in bourgeois BS when it comes to wine making. “Good wine for good times” as he puts it.

Formerly known as Misty’s “Signature” range, we reckon Andrew must’ve got a stiff wrist from signing the back of all those bottles. So instead he’s re-branded with a flash new label and called this range his “Landmark Series”.

These wines are a step up in class from his entry level, white label wines, and showcase specific sub regions or vineyards where they produce these “Reserve” style wines. In this case it’s Marlborough SauvyB from the specific Fareham Lane vineyard. The best parcels of fruit are all hand harvested and then given 6 months on lees, a fancy winemaker technique to add complexity of flavour and texture.

Awarded 5 Stars and 95/100 by Wine Orbit’s Sam Kim who called it “Dynamic and exuberant.” Drink now to 2026, nicely chilled from the fridge and best paid with kai moana.
