The
Lodge Hill
vineyard is one
of the highest in the
Clare Valley at 480m. If
you thought those heights are
dizzy check out this – Gold medal
at the NZ International Wine Show!
Jim Barry purchased the 329 acre Lodge Hill vineyard back in 1977. He was convinced it would produce some of the best Riesling in the Clare Valley. A couple of years later he planted Shiraz at Lodge Hill and this has gone on to be a bit of a star performer for them!
This latest 2020 rerelease is yet again bang on the money – it is one seriously delicious glass of Clare Valley red with a 90/100 & Top Value Award by Master of Wine Bob Campbell for The Real Review.
Bob said “Deep-tinted shiraz with dense plum/dark berry, dark chocolate, liquorice and nutty oak flavours. Very approachable now but with the potential to develop with moderate bottle age.”
Drink now to 2026.
