"One to lay down for your grandchildren...Delicious now, but will live for 50 years easily." (Anthony Gismondi, Wine Access Magazine)
97/100 (Wine Spectator), 97/100 (Wine & Spirits Magazine), 97/100 (Wine Enthusiast), 96-98 (Robert Parker's Wine Advocate)
Vintaged ports are only produced in years declared a “vintage year” by Portuguese authorities – basically in years when conditions have been perfecto!
The 2007 vintage is only the third vintage since the turn of the Millennium to receive a big ups 5 Star rating by Decanter Magazine.
Bottled in 2009 this wine received some big scores from the big hitting international critics – 7/100 (Wine Spectator), 97/100 (Wine & Spirits Magazine), 97/100 (Wine Enthusiast), 96-98 (Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate).
Anthony Gismondi from Wine Access Magazine reckons this could go for fifty years in the cellar, which is why he says it’s “one to lay down for your grandchildren.”
Note: This bottle has been carefully stored in our temperature controlled wine cellar.
