The wine’s called Don Ramon Especial Barrica. If you think that’s a mouthful – just wait ’til you try the wine. Don’t worry if you haven’t the foggiest about Spanish wine or what any of it means – just know this is a medium to full bodied, juicy, rich red with velvety smooth tannins. It’s almost impossible not to love.

Produced by the Aragonesas crew in Campo de Borja, north-east Spain, using Garnacha and Tempranillo grapes (varieties that thrive in the hot plains of Spain!) from vines up to 50 years old. It’s given just three months in oak barrels (“Barrica”) which adds just a touch of complexity to this lip smackingly delicious, silky smooth red.

Heck, the wine even looks flash with its wax seal and red ribbon packaging! Grab a case or two now to see you through winter, into to spring and back into summer. You get the idea. Pure drinkability, yet again from Spain! Really, really smart buying!
