Ribbit Ribbit…hiccup. That’s the sound of the Southern Bell Frog that you might find in the wetland that neighbours the Grove Mill winery down there in Marlborough.
The frogs aren’t the only ones who’ve enjoyed a glass or two of this top class 2022 release Pinot Gris. This is the wine that took out the top spot and Trophy for Champion Pinot Gris at the NZ International Wine Show 2022!
The judges said called it “Vivid straw gold with a lively bouquet of apple, pear and a touch of grapefruit follow through to the palate. Juicy and moreish, crisp and dry, excellent value.”
Grove Mill built the wetland back in the late 80s (before doing good stuff for the environment was “cool”) as part of their commitment to sustainable wine growing. They take sustainability seriously. From using lightweight recycled NZ glass bottles to labels produced from sugarcane (a highly renewable material that utilises an abundant by-product) to the winery being powered by over 300 solar panels.
Enjoy this awesome Marlborough Gris with white meats like chicken, fish and pork and especially spicy Asian cuisine.
