It’s bloody hard to find much for your money at this kind of price point – but here’s a wine (made by Yalumba by the way) that regularly delivers great bang for buck.
This is their latest 2022 vintage Chardonnay from South Australia and it really does over deliver for what you’d expect of a wine priced down and dirty like this. In fact, over the years this has been a pretty reliable, easy going, fruit driven style white.
As for the Oxford Landing crew themselves, well, they were pretty happy with how this one ended up. “Oh, for the love of tenderly made Chardonnay. There’s just a whisper of oak in this bright, pure example of the variety. Citrus, native Australian lemon myrtle, honey and peach seduce the senses.”
