In a space that was formerly a sheep farm is now Camshorn, a Waipara Valley vineyard that sits nestled between two hills and is nicely sheltered from the prevailing winds. In a nod to its sheepy history they’ve decided to slap portraits of various breeds of sheep on their snazzy new looking labels.
This is the Camshorn Pinot Noir and, for the sheep enthusiasts out there, it features the Suffolk sheep.
We won’t bleat on and on about it but let’s just say this is a Pinot that won’t pull the wool over your eyes. A medium bodied style with dark cherry and berry fruit flavours and a touch of spice.
Damn, you're looking young for your age!
